The Portland Oregon Area Local was proud to present our Outstanding Service Award at our annual recognition event to not one but two dedicated unionist.
Christy Lutz served as our office manager for over 10 years. From day one she demonstrated her tremendous skills, great personality, and true union spirit. Christy is now working at our clerk craft national business agent office. They are lucky to have her and we were truly blessed to have been able to work with Christy these past years.
Anna Smith also began serving as an officer of our local over 10 years ago. Anna served as steward, editor, and associate office director for the Portland local. She also served as district one representative and president of the Oregon Postal Workers Union. Anna put in countless hours representing the membership often at great personal sacrifice. Anna continues to represent our members as a national officer in Washington DC.
Both these women made the Portland Oregon Areal Local a stronger and better place because of their outstanding service. It was truly an honor to present these well deserved awards.
